ABOUT THE JOURNAL
Operational Research in Engineering Sciences: Theory and Applications (ORESTA) is an international peer-reviewed journal covering main aspects of operational research in engineering sciences. ORESTA publishes high quality, scientific papers that contribute to the fields of operational research. The journal covers new theories, applications, and reviews of optimization methods, decision-making, stochastic models, mathematical programming, simulation, game theory, queueing systems, inventory, scheduling, project management, decision-support systems, artificial intelligence, neural network, fuzzy logic, expert systems.
The journal ORESTA publishes articles in all fields of engineering science.
Aims and Scope: The principal aim of the journal is to bring together the latest research and development in various fields of operational research. We would like to highlight that papers should refer to Aims and scope, but they are not limited to.

Open Access
This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
ORESTA’s acceptance rate is 25% . In 2020 and 2021, the median time from submission to acceptance for all articles was 58 days, and 32 days from acceptance to online publication in ONLINE FIRST section. The ONLINE FIRST section of ORESTA lists the papers accepted for publication and copy edited but not yet assigned to an issue.
